The Historical Conference Centres of Europe (HCCE) held their Annual General Assembly from the 13th to the 15th April 2012 in Merano, South Tyrol, Italy.
The assembly held at the Trauttmansdorff Castle gave the opportunity to network exchange ideas, experiences, whilst being educated and enjoy a diverse range of social activities. Dr Paul Rosch Director at the Castle explained to members the history of Trauttmansdorff and the magnificent themed gardens.
Members and guests also visited HCCE member venue the Kurhaus Merano a most beautiful building in the Alps in art nouveau style. The elegant architecture of the buildings, the selection of rooms of differing sizes, the sophisticated technical equipment and the comprehensive service ensure that the Kurhaus and the Merano Theatre are the first choice for major meetings, conferences, concerts, festivals and congresses in South Tyrol.
Thanks go to Hermann Schnitzer and his team at SMT Consulting for preparing the programme, using their experience and know how to organize all of the detail making the Annual General Assembly such a success.
Special thanks also go to Andreas Cappello President of Kurhaus Merano for his support and time in over seeing the visit to Merano, nestling in the fascinating landscape of the southern side of the Alps.
