From 25 to 28 September 2012, at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz the 49th German Historians will meet, one of the largest humanities conferences in Europe. Under the slogan "resource conflicts" national and international speakers will present to over 3,000 participants the research from all eras and areas of historical studies in more than 50 sections. The opening event will be held on 25 September in the Electoral Palace.

The Kurfürstliches Schloss (Palace of the Counts Elector), one of the Historical European Conference Centres (HCCE), offers an exclusive and extraordinary framework for your event. The palace, built in the 17th century, is one of the most beautiful Renaissance buildings in Europe.
